A big fire burned down four houses in Shkodër yesterday evening, where the flames were first activated in the two-story apartment of the 51-year-old with the initials LT
One of the shocked residents stated that she has nothing left, as all things have been burned.
"There is damage to the foundation. The walls are broken. Let's just stay in the rain now. Ishallah God arranges it. The husband was at home. The canisters then exploded. The husband was taken out of the house by his brother-in-law's children. The refrigerator, furniture, everything, even the clothes were burnt", said one of the residents affected by the fire in Shkodër.
She further added that the cause of the fire was not the explosion of the canister. She accuses her neighbor, stating that "The fire did not come as a result of the canister, it was caused by a schizophrenic who works all night welding."
"We have a neighbor here, some oxygen must have exploded. There has been some measure of current. He didn't make any noise. No canisters burst, absolutely not. This (neighbor) burned our house. Everything is burnt. We have nowhere to go. When the fire broke out, the man was in the apartment. This is not from a canister. We got it from a schizophrenic who works all night welding. Everything was burnt, including washing machines, sofas, clothes, everything", said Kola.
How the event happened:
A fire broke out yesterday evening in Shkodër, in the two-story apartment of the 51-year-old with the initials LT. But the flames then spread to three other apartments next to it, one of them uninhabited.
"Around 00:55, in the "Skënderbeg" neighborhood, a fire broke out in a two-story apartment owned by citizen L.T., 51 years old. As a result, three other apartments adjacent to it, owned by citizens TK, LK and an uninhabited apartment, were also involved in the fire", it is stated in the police announcement.
Firefighters and the police, after receiving the notification, immediately went to the scene where they evacuated the residents. The fire was then extinguished, causing only material damage.
The investigative group, led by the Prosecutor's Office, is working to clarify the cause of the fire.
