In the early hours of this morning, around 02:45, the city of Vlora faced a sudden and unusual rise in sea level, a phenomenon that according to local fishermen has not been observed before at this intensity.
The water has advanced towards the land, penetrating several areas near the fishing center.
Anchored boats are stretched tight by the ropes due to the sudden rise in sea level, while in some cases water has even penetrated into warehouses near the fishing port, creating concern for work tools and equipment.
According to fishermen, this increase was greater than normal tides, and if the situation continues, there is a risk that the water will spread to the road, causing further damage. The phenomenon has caused some fish to come ashore, a phenomenon that usually occurs during rough seas or strong changes in level.
