Berlin Process Summit Source: Failed, too many roadblocks

The summit of the Berlin Process, which is taking place this Monday in Tirana, is the headline of the day. Two well-known analysts, Ilir Demalia and Genc Burimi, have analyzed this Summit, speaking on a 'Skype' link for Neës24.

The source initially stopped at the organization, when he said that the blocking of the Boulevard was greatly exaggerated, saying that it was not necessary to block the passage of citizens, but only of vehicles. He further called this summit a failure.

On the other hand, Demalia said that blocking the road is not an important issue, as he said that he does not agree that the Summit was a failure.

Below are excerpts from the two analysts' discussion:

Source: There is no more fear of terror in Tirana than in Paris, so why was it taken to this extreme to block a boulevard to welcome the leaders of Europe. I did not hear any interest in the ordinary Albanian at this Summit. It was a mistake of taste, because you had to let a few people go around and not just journalists. This is Europe, Europe close to the people. Such a sight in France would have been slammed by the press.

Demalia : If we are going to analyze things that are formal like this empty Boulevard, the essence is important. How useful is this Summit for the image of Albania and will it achieve something, as an agenda for joining the EU. Let's get caught up here, not because the Boulevard was empty for a day or two. Big deal! It is important to focus on what this Summit gave.

Source: This Summit is like the work of Christmas, which takes place every year. This Summit is a failure. The goal was to create an antechamber for countries that want to integrate into the EU to integrate with each other. From the last summit, we come with a Kurt and a Vucic who no longer speak. So we are behind the previous years. Plus, the new dispute between Kurt and Rama, as well as Rama and Beler, is added. From the raw facts, this summit did not succeed in the first step, the square of disagreements. Why doesn't the prime minister of Serbia take part in the photo? Like Dacici... Because the Serbian government is filling the Serbian people with the dangerous message that Kurti is a monster. This discourse is extremely dangerous. When Rama understands this, he has understood everything.

Demalia: I agree with much of Burim's analysis, but I don't think it's a failure. Summits are held to advance a process, which can be long or short. I agree that at this moment the region is more tense than ever. I think that will set the process in motion in itself. I agree that there is hatred from Serbia for Kurti, but I don't think this should be mixed up, because what hinders the Berlin process is because the Serbs are trying to keep this as long as possible... They want to imply that Kurti does not agree. This is a trap. One must consider what is possible and what is most favorable for the future.
