80-90 patients a day turn to the infectious disease service with flu or covid symptoms that they have not been able to manage at home.
There are people from 20 years old to 80 years old.
"I have a 38-year-old daughter who doesn't suit her ," said a woman.
"I have a husband with covid" , said another.
Of the 80-90 emergencies that are presented, 12 of them need to be treated
"They are all ages from. Young people who do not have other diseases are easily managed since the temperature is dominated by antipyretics", said infectious disease doctor Migena Qato.
In a more serious condition and who need to follow the therapies in the hospital are those aged 65 and over, as they also have other diseases and often have respiratory failure or pneumonia.
Although fewer in number, the infectious disease service does not lack cases affected by covid. Doctors explain that out of 90 cases, only 8-9 confirm covid and flu, the rest are diagnosed with viruses with flu-like symptoms./ TCH
