The Commissioner of Elections Ilirjan Celibashi has sent a letter to the leaders of the parliamentary parties in our country as well as to the Electoral Reform Commission, where he highlights some issues that should be considered for the upcoming parliamentary elections and the Electoral Code.
In his letter, Celibashi draws attention to the vote of immigrants, for which the legal conditions must be met. At a time when the next elections are in 2025, the head of the CEC recalls that the preparation to carry out the voting of immigrants for the first time takes no less than 1 year.
Another issue raised by Celibashi is that of electronic voting and counting in some districts, which, if realized, the CEC expects to be notified by the end of February 2024 to then start preparations.
