An unexpected "fountain" was created this evening near the roundabout of the "Aleksandër Xhuvani" University Student Dormitory in Elbasan, after the explosion of new drinking water pipes installed by the "Water Supply-Sewerage" company.
Footage from the scene shows water gushing out at high pressure, flooding the road and making traffic difficult. The incident occurred at around 18:30, while according to residents, technical teams have not yet arrived to intervene.
Residents of the "Haxhia" neighborhood are outraged, as this is the third time in a few months that new pipes have burst. They accuse the poor quality of the works and emphasize that repeated complaints to institutions have gone unanswered.
