The change in weather has affected the entire country today, bringing heavy rain, hail and strong winds. In Elbasan, strong winds have knocked down several trees, temporarily blocking traffic on the “Janaq Kilica” road. Municipality teams intervened to clear the roads and restore traffic.
A problematic situation has also been recorded in Gramsh, where intense rainfall has caused partial flooding in several road segments. The water has temporarily blocked traffic, while residents report heavy hail during the night and this morning.
According to preliminary data, the phenomenon has also affected some mountainous areas of the Librazhd and Prrenjas municipalities, where the hailstorms have been heavy but of short duration. As of this afternoon, local authorities have not reported any material or agricultural damage, but the situation remains under monitoring due to forecasts for more rainfall during the evening.
