Police have arrested the young man who clashed with members of the Municipal Council in Pogradec.
The police announce that citizen Kevi Muçllari, 27 years old, resident of Pogradec, has been arrested in flagrante delicto and is suspected of the criminal offense of "Assault in the line of duty". The incident occurred on November 10, 2025, at around 2:25 p.m.
According to the official report, Muçllari initially argued and insulted the members of the Municipal Council, and then punched citizen E. Sh., 47 years old, a member of the council.
The materials collected by Crime Investigation specialists have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
According to information, the fight started over a decision made by the Municipal Council on expropriation in the Çërrava area of Pogradec. The young man was affected by this decision and exploded into accusations against the members of the Council, then the debate degenerated into a physical conflict.
The decision that was approved today has been causing debate for several months, as pastures in the village of Çërrvë will be given over to photovoltaic parks. Residents have protested several times, but no one listened to them.
