Scabies also appears in the city of Pogradec.
According to the information received officially by the doctors of DSHP Pogradec, there are a total of 7 cases.
3 cases that frequented the Turkish dormitory in Pogradec who are residents of Veliterna and the other 4 cases from Pogradec which are sporadic cases and are on the way to recovery.
As for the dormitory cases, they are isolated while the dormitory is being cleaned and its disinfection is expected.
After these cases, the doctors will continue with the procedures for extended checks in other schools of the city to identify other cases.
Scabies is a skin disease that is very common in humans. It is caused by a parasite, which provokes a protective reaction on the part of the organism, manifested by red pimples on the skin, which itch a lot.
Patients with scabies present the following symptoms: Itching of the skin, present in the first weeks after infection, mainly during the sleeping period.
Pimples with an elongated shape, with characteristic placement on the genitals, in the recesses between the fingers, in the armpits and at the level of the nipples.
After a few days or weeks, itching is present all over the body. Scratches caused by itching favor the infection of acne by bacteria.
