The publication of documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein dossier has prompted a significant increase in internet searches by users in Albania.
According to Google Trends data, over the past week, interest in this issue in Albania has reached a value of 67. This indicator is used to measure how often a term is searched on Google, where the value 100 represents the maximum level of interest in a given period. In the same week, only Norway has recorded the maximum level.
Interest has not waned in recent hours. At the time of reporting, searches for the term "Epstein" were at 78, indicating that attention continues.
The geographical distribution of searches shows that the highest interest comes from Tirana. After the capital, Shkodra, Durrës, Vlora and Elbasan are ranked.
The Epstein files include investigative and court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, an American financier arrested for sex trafficking and child abuse. The documents include evidence used by authorities, details of his social circle, testimonies from victims, and information about how he managed his wealth and influence.
The publication of these materials has reopened discussions about Epstein's connections with powerful people and the institutional handling of such issues at high levels.
