Interior Minister Taulant Balla was at the Lushnje hospital, after the explosion that took place this afternoon in a warehouse, as a result of which one person lost his life and eight others were injured.
Balla said that the crane operator was a victim after the explosion of the vehicle he was driving, which came into contact with the high voltage current.
He revealed that the victim's son, who was nearby during the explosion, was also seriously injured.
As for the state of MP Bujar Çela, Balla said that he received a wound as a result of the explosion, but that he was isolated after treatment at the hospital.
"In the industrial area of Lushnja, near a warehouse complex, an explosion is suspected to have occurred, probably caused by contact with a high-voltage line that then discharged the current and caused the explosion of an excavator, whose driver immediately lost his life. Another person who was nearby, suspected to be the victim's son, was seriously injured.
Lushnja MP Bujar Çela was found in that area along with other persons. He received a wound due to the explosion, and I can say that the wound has been isolated and the MP has been sent for a more specialized treatment at the Trauma hospital. In total, there are three injured who are close to Trauma", said Balla.
