Albanian citizens and entrepreneurs received almost 211 billion ALL in loans until July.
Data from the Bank of Albania show that compared to January-July of the previous year, the new loan has expanded by ALL 49 billion or 30.2 percent, reports A2.
"The main reason, as stated by the Bank of Albania, is related to mortgage loans for the purchase of real estate. This is the main sector where investment is being made. There is an almost 7-fold increase compared to previous periods", said the expert on economic issues Selim Blliku.
The data from the Central Bank show that for the purchase of housing, in the 7th month of January-July, only for the purchase of apartments, a total of 60.6 billion ALL were taken from the banks. This amount is 28.7 percent of the total new loan granted in January-July.
"All this comes as the banking sector is considering lending for new apartments safe. The fact that the banking system has enough liquidity today has also had an impact," Blliku underlined.
At even faster rates than citizens, to open new businesses or expand existing ones, entrepreneurs received nearly 150 billion ALL in loans in 7 months.
"The rates of new loans to individuals are significant, but it is the business that carries the main weight in lending activity. Business, especially that oriented towards tourism, is very optimistic", said Selim Blliku, reports A2.
Following similar trajectories in almost all seven months, even in July the new loan reached the figure of 29.3 billion new loans granted. Compared to July of a year ago, the new loan granted last month expanded by almost 7 billion ALL or 30.8 percent.
