On October 30, 2025, Haki Sala was admitted to the QSUNT in the urology ward for a planned intervention. Everything went according to protocol. The operation was successful and the first catheter was placed, which was then removed normally.
Then a second catheter was placed and a few moments later, when Vera Sala, his wife, went down to buy something, Haki Sala disappeared from the hospital room.
Vera tells with concern on the show "Stop" that no one had seen her husband, neither in the hospital, nor on the street, nor at home. The police of Commissariat 4 arrived only after five hours, but without doing anything concrete. The cameras were not turned on immediately either. The specialist doctor who operated on Haki confirmed that the patient did not have any mental illness.
In an attempt to find Haki, Vera contacted the police. The Chief of Police Station 4 confirmed that a search had been launched, Haki's photos had been posted all over Albania, but to date there has been no information.
Chief of Police Station No. 4: The case has been declared wanted, this person is a missing person and we are still verifying him.
Journalist: Did you seize QSUNT's cameras to see in which direction he fled?
Chief of Police Station No. 4: That's all I can tell you for now!
Journalist: Foton, have you distributed identification materials around the city?
Chief of Police Station No. 4: Yes, we have them, because those are the first things, they are the first actions.
Journalist: There's not even any reaction from any citizen?
Chief of Police Station No. 4: No, there isn't, because we have advertised everywhere. We have searched in every district of Albania. It hasn't been found! I have also spoken to that lady almost every day, it hasn't been found!
Journalist: There are no clues?
Chief of Police Station No. 4: Now we are looking for him, almost every day! Not almost, but every day! Now, as soon as we find him… we can hardly find him, we are looking for him. I have also explained this to the lady. We have also verified a case in Vlora that we had sent people to verify, it was not this person and we do not…, we cannot find him! We do not know where he is! I am very sorry, because it is a sensitive case, I understand the lady, but now it is not like we have him somewhere and we are not showing him! We are looking for him continuously! We are also sorry for the lady, but we cannot find him with difficulty!
The situation has caused shock and doubt about the safety of patients at QSUNT, as a person admitted and operated on can disappear without a trace.
