Over the past few hours, 13 fires have been registered in Albania, of which 7 still remain active in different areas of the country.
The extinguished fires were localized in some of the high-risk areas, while field forces and aerial interventions continue intensive work to manage active fires in various regions.
Active fires remain in these areas:
Vlora Region: In the village of Navaricë, the fire has changed direction, moving to the mountain above the village. In Leshnica e Poshtme, aerial intervention has averted the danger to homes. The operations are also supported by an Air Force helicopter and two Fireboss aircraft from Sweden, which have carried out 44 water drops.
Tragjas Village, Orikum: Fire in an area of bushes and low vegetation, with 20 firefighters on the ground. Currently, no homes are at risk.
Fier Region: In Lofkënd of Mallakastra, the fire is active in two foci in the south and northwest, where operations from the ground are impossible. Work continues with the Croatian Canadair aircraft to isolate the fire.
Lezha Region: In Malaj Epërm, Mirditë, about 10 hectares of pine and oak forests are burning, in terrain difficult to access by vehicles. 33 local forces are operating, creating separation strips to prevent the spread. There is no risk to residential areas.
Dibër District: In Mali i Allushit, Klos, the fire that had been extinguished has reactivated, but is under control and does not threaten homes.
Elbasan County: In Lleshaj, Gramsh, the fire has been completely isolated after intensive work during the day and is being monitored by the Forest Service.
Tirana Region: On Mount Bërzhita, 15 forces from the Tirana MZSH are working to extinguish the fire in an area with dense vegetation, without danger to homes.
