An alarming situation is developing at Bergamo Airport (Il Caravaggio International Airport), where dozens of Albanian citizens have been stranded for more than 3 hours at passport control.
According to testimonies from the scene, controls are being exercised only on Albanians, while passengers of other nationalities are passing through normally.
The images and testimonies speak of a real chaos, which is turning into hell, especially for mothers with small children and the elderly, forced to wait without any official explanation, without help and without minimal human respect.
Citizens express outrage at the treatment they are being given, considering it open and humiliating discrimination that treats Albanians as third-class citizens.
The situation has also raised strong questions about the political relations between Albania and Italy, publicly promoted as fraternal by Prime Minister Edi Rama and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, but the reality on the ground speaks differently.
To date, there has been no official reaction from the Italian or Albanian authorities, while the wait continues and tension increases.
The event requires urgent institutional response and full transparency about the reasons for this selective treatment of Albanian citizens.
