Granit Sokolaj from the Alert Center has revealed how salmonella-contaminated meat was hidden in a warehouse, putting several people under investigation. He explains the steps that led to the first suspicions in this case.
" From a legal perspective, it is said that when a monster turns out to be contaminated in the same environment that it has been in with other monsters, it may also be contaminated. Out of 7 tons, the AKU was able to find a part. The fictitious invoices are real, meanwhile a large part of the product was hidden in the warehouses of the refrigeration company, it was not on the market because since it turned out to be a load, they thought not to take it all to the market but to switch it to sausages, this was the suspicion.
They then issued fictitious invoices to the AKU that were not related to this lot, selling it to the supermarket chain. Therefore, an investigation has also been launched against those who did not make all invoices available to the AKU to know where the product is.
"With the inspection team, over a period of two to three days, meat was found by opening every container that was hidden, which is why several people are under investigation ," Sokolaj told Euronews Albania.
