Today, Eid al-Fitr is celebrated by all Muslims around the world. On the occasion of this very important day in the Muslim religious calendar, thousands of Albanian believers have filled the "Skënderbej" square this morning, where the prayer ceremony took place. The celebration began at around 06:40.
Muslim believers celebrate the holiday of Eid al-Fitr today after 30 days of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan. Eid al-Fitr is the holiday that takes place after the end of the month of Ramadan. The name Eid al-Fitr comes from the fact that Muslims distribute alms before Eid al-Fitr, show solidarity with the poor, so as to celebrate this holiday together.
During the 30 days, Muslim believers have sacrificed by fasting and performing their spiritual rituals while worshipping the creator. Eid al-Fitr is a great celebration for them, which culminates with a traditional lunch as well as visits and meetings with family, friends and relatives.
Yesterday, the Head of the Muslim Community of Albania, Bujar Spahiu, while congratulating all Albanian Muslim believers, stated that the sacrifice and devotion of the month of Ramadan should be an example of commitment to the worship of God. Albanian political leaders have also congratulated the great holiday for Muslims. "Pamphlet" also wishes believers a happy Eid al-Fitr.
