The head of KLSH, Arben Shehu, spoke about the Oncology scandal, where doctors sent tumor patients to the private clinic of doctor Edmond Gashi.
Reporting on the 2023 report for the HCSC to the Economy and Finance Commission, Shehu said that the HCSC assesses that the situation in oncology is the ultimate point of responsibility.
According to him, there should be an analysis of the factors that have influenced the growth of patients with tumor diseases.
" In the future, we would like to have an opportunity to cooperate. Support is not only required for the work, but for achieving the objectives, and for solving the problems that we have encountered in our work. As we mention the situation in Health, such as that of Oncology, there is a maximum high level of risk that requires the responsibility of the staff of KLSH but also of the institution that monitors the hospital. Great attention is required for the implementation of the recommendations we have given for health, we will ask for an analysis. We believe that the situation in oncology is the final point of responsibility. There should be an analysis of the factors that have influenced the increase of patients with tumor diseases", said Shehu.
