The lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu said that he is ready to give an envelope with 10 names of those who will control the betting points in Albania.
He stated that the law on the legalization of betting is a law made according to the Albanian way and that President Begaj should not approve it, since according to Spahi, this law has significant and discriminatory limitations.
Spahiu added that it is easier for Albanians to get a license at betting points abroad than in their own country.
"It is worth it for me to give you 10 names in a sealed envelope and open them on the day it will be licensed. This law is alla-Albanian. Last week, a friend of mine, an Albanian citizen, bought a betting point in Milan worth 1,000,000 euros.
He has not had a single day of experience in the field of betting, he has not lived in three EU countries and the third one has not passed any commission or state or anything. This is how it happens, not only in Italy, but in every country of the EU, how is it possible that in 2023 they adopt a law that it is easier for Albanians to be licensed in the field of betting in an EU country than in their place.
The President of the Republic should not approve this law, as the first one has very discriminatory restrictions and the second one, if we enter consumers, only 10% of consumers are given the right to consume bets", said Kreshnik Spahiu for " Euronews Albania".
