SPAK has sent a request to interrogate the mayor of Kamza, Rakip Suli.
On Wednesday at 10:00, the mayor of Kamza must appear at the prosecutor's office.
Rakip Suli will be asked to give his version on the investigations he is conducting for the earthquake compensations, writes TCH.
SPAK is conducting investigations against the mayor and municipal officials, "Exercise of illegal influence on persons exercising public functions", "Abuse of duty", "Violation of equality of participants in public tenders or auctions" and "Passive corruption of persons who exercise public functions
Two weeks ago, the media reported that SPAK has placed under investigation the mayor of Kamza Rakip Suli and Rrogozhina Edison Memolla, after the denunciations that suspect both officials of abusing the city's cleaning tenders, but also of having signed compensations for damages of housing from the earthquake. Memolla appeared a few days ago at SPAK.
The Special Prosecutor's Office has ordered the seizure of documents on the procedure followed for tenders and compensations.
Several mayors and former mayors ended up being defendants during this year, especially for tenders, as denounced not only by the KLSH, but also referred by the ordinary prosecutors who transferred the competence to SPAK.
