SPAK has requested secret documents related to January 21 from the Albanian Parliament, as part of the ongoing investigations into this matter.
Journalist Klodiana Lala explained that it is up to the Assembly's discretion whether or not to submit these materials. According to the journalist, the materials relate to developments before, during and after the January 21 protest.
"SPAK has requested documents that are kept in the Parliament's archive and are secret. It concerns observations or wiretaps, related to developments before, during and after the January 21 protest. The document is "top secret". The Parliament will return it as is, with the "top secret" logo, as national security is affected. Investigators have assessed that they are very important for the process, to understand how the protest was organized, whether there were any orientations for acts of violence, and what happened inside the Prime Minister's Office that was shot at the protesters.
"Because of the criminal investigation, the investigation prevails and according to the definition of the ECHR, it has been said to be a state murder, so it affects high levels, maybe SPAK cannot force the Assembly, but it has requested it, we have to see how it will proceed. It may happen that the Assembly does not declassify them, it is up to the Assembly whether to make them available to the prosecution," Lala said, among other things, on the show "To The Unexposed".
