9 months after the arrest, SPAK has closed the investigations into Ilir Meta's file on the CEZ-DIA affair and the SMI lobbying scandal in the US.
With the closure of the investigations, it was revealed that SPAK has also named Monika Kryemadhi's mother as a defendant, who appeared before SPAK today to be briefed on the charges.
Today, the charges were also communicated to Monika Kryemadhi's friend, Ema Çoku, as well as the former head of AKEP, Pirro Xhixho.
Meta and Kryemadhi themselves were indicted on May 29, where they were charged with corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets. Tomorrow at 1:00 PM, Monika Kryemadhi will be at the doors of SPAK just to be informed of the closure of the investigations.
Meta has been under arrest and in prison since October 21, while Kryemadhi is under arrest. Kryemadhi-Meta, now legally divorced, are accused of having exercised their power over the years to illegally obtain wealth and have hidden their source by using family members.
