Analyst Preç Zogaj said that SPAK is the institution that is writing history, as it is affecting people who were untouchable until yesterday.
According to him, the Special Structure is working dynamically every day while adding that today ex-president Meta appeared before justice with dignity, leaving behind insults against the prosecution institution. Zogaj said that SPAK is neither intimidated nor provoked by Berisha's attacks, while the former prime minister was left "obliged to appear".
"In my opinion, SPAK is doing the work with different files. SPAK is working, there are dynamics every day. Meta presented himself today, he presented himself as a statesman should, confronting directly, leaving accusations and insults behind. Ilir Meta has understood and knows very well that this battle takes place only like this, by facing each other. For his part, Sali Berisha adhered to the measure of SPAK, but continues the harsh rhetoric towards the prosecution institution. SPAK is neither intimidated nor provoked. SPAK is an institution that sees things coldly, represents the prosecution institution, is doing its job in a rational way. Challenging justice is neither normal nor common. The attitude may be critical, but the institution must be respected. It must be said that SPAK is writing history for the rule of law, it is normalizing investigations in high spheres.
Impunity is coming to an end, a typical Albanian phenomenon, which has also been mentioned in international reports. No one is immune from the law. There are investigations from all sides, there are investigations wherever there is an accusation. In this view, I cannot say that SPAK is working with two standards. This is said by those who are in conflict of interest mainly. "SPAK is facing a gangrene, hitting politicians, gangs, who also have great wealth behind them, it is not easy, so the work of the Special Structure must be appreciated", said Zogaj for "News 24".
The analyst also said that the parties that will support SPAK in the elections will have electoral favor. According to him, this comes because SPAK has great support among the people.
"Soon, the battle in the court of politicians will begin. The public will watch the trials, will watch the attitudes of justice, but also of the accused. I think that the parties that support SPAK have an electoral advantage, since SPAK has great public support. Whoever does not see this, is not realistic. The small parties that support SPAK will have favor, but I believe that if they were united they would be stronger. If they contest the election separately, the vote for them may not be as valuable. The vote of the diaspora is a constitutional right, which is also being implemented legally", said Zogaj.
