The Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution has seized the assets of Pëllumb Gjoka, who was arrested on account of the 'Metamorfoza' operation.
SPAK placed in preventive seizure the property of the Forest type, with an area of 215,030 m2, located in Pulaj-Plazh, Velipojë, Shkodër.
From the investigations, there are suspicions based on evidence that the assets mentioned are owned by the above mentioned persons and companies and were acquired through the falsification of documents carried out by Gjoka, in cooperation with other persons.
The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime is investigating criminal proceedings no. 9 of 2023, registered for the criminal offenses "Premeditated murder", "Passive corruption of judges, prosecutors and other officials of justice bodies", "Active corruption of judges, prosecutors and other officials of justice", "Removal illegal violation of freedom", "Abuse of duty", "False expertise", "Forgery of documents", "Trafficking in narcotics", "Illegal possession of weapons and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", in cooperation with the form of "Structured criminal group", "Commitment of criminal offenses by criminal organization and structured criminal group", "Cleaning of products of criminal offense or criminal activity", provided by articles 78, 319/ç, 319, 110, 248, 309, 278, 283/a, 333/a, 334, and 287 of the Criminal Code.
Following the investigations at the request of the Special Prosecutor's Office, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, with decision no. 422 dated 23.10.2023, decided the property insurance measure "Preventive Sequestration", based on Article 274 of Criminal Code and 36 of the Criminal Code on 3 (three) immovable assets, with a total area of 390,000 (three hundred and ninety thousand) m2, as follows: • Forest type
property, with an area of 113,500 m2, located in Pulaj- Plazh, Velipojë, Shkodër, registered in the name of a trading company …….;
• Property of the Forest type, with an area of 61,470 m2, located in Pulaj-Plazh, Velipojë, Shkodër, registered in the name of another commercial company ……..;
• Forest property, with an area of 215,030 m2, located in Pulaj-Plazh, Velipojë, Shkodër, registered in the name of citizen K. Gj.
From the conducted investigations, there are reasonable doubts based on evidence that the above-mentioned assets are owned by the above-mentioned persons and companies and were acquired through the falsification of documents carried out by the citizen P. Gj., in cooperation with other persons.
Decision no. 422, dated 23.10.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime was executed by the Special Prosecutor's Office in cooperation with the Seized and Confiscated Assets Administration Agency. In the meantime, investigations continue regarding the complete identification of criminal facts and persons involved in this criminal activity.', SPAK announces.
Businessman Pëllumb Gjoka, one of those arrested from SPAK's operation 'Metamorfoza', has been chosen by Prime Minister Rama as a strategic investor.
The businessman from Shkodran, arrested by order of SPAK in July, turns out to have acquired the status of a strategic investor with the firm of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
In July 2021, the Strategic Investments Committee approved the investor status for the "Silver Sand Resort" project, with the applicant entity "Imperial Group".
The profitable company is owned 56 percent by Pëllumb Gjoka and the rest by his family members, Kolë and Alida Gjoka.
