Journalist Etleva Delia, in an interview for "News Line" on ABC News, revealed more details about the murder of 31-year-old Erald Nevruzi yesterday by 43-year-old Gerald Shehu in a hotel in Dhërmi.
Referring to her sources of information, Delia said that the victim applied for asylum in England, but was rejected and then returned to Albania.
Regarding the motive of the event, she stated that all leads should be investigated.
"The police found that the victim's clothes were removed. All leads to the motives of the crime must be investigated. As far as I have information, an attempt was made by the officers with the Greek side to interrogate the author about where the body was thrown. So far we don't have a lame motive for what happened. I have communicated with several people who know the victim. He was in England before, he applied for asylum, but it was not accepted. According to the information I have, there was no acquaintance between the victim and the perpetrator. The acquaintance between them was a working relationship. His precedents can be considered not serious. He was previously reported for narcotics and domestic violence. Currently he was living alone in a rented house in the area of Don Bosco, I mean before he went to Dhërmi.
Almost 1 hour ago, a decision was made and the extradition decision was made to Albania within a period of 40 days. Shehu was arrested at the gate to flee to Barcelona. At that moment it was signaled by the Albanian side", she said.
