A general patrol officer in Kuçovë was injured on Monday evening while escorting a suspect to the police station. Security expert Fatjon Softa emphasizes that police officers should not intervene alone in dangerous situations and should be equipped with neuroparalytic tools to neutralize threats.
"They should not be alone when they intervene, they should have neuroparalytic devices. The danger that can come from a car with tinted windows is unknown. More training is needed, especially for traffic police officers," he told "TCH".
Clashes between police and armed men have also led to fatal consequences in the past. One of the most serious cases was that of the "Eagle" force officer, Nevruz Cenaliaj, who lost his life in Fier two years ago while performing his duty and was later declared a martyr of the homeland.
