The civic revolt against the government and the entire political class has entered its 46th day today. This evening, hundreds of citizens first gathered at Skanderbeg Square to then march towards the Prime Minister's Office, where speeches and messages against Edi Rama's government continue.
What started as a reaction against the project in Zvërnec has now transformed into a broader civic movement, with protesters demanding the removal of the government and profound political changes.
From the podium in front of the Prime Minister's Office, one of the protesters praised the role of young people in the continuation of the protest, saying that it was they who gave citizens the courage not to retreat.
" The young people have taken away the fear of Albanians to stay here in protest for 46 days ," he said.
The protester further made strong accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama, criticizing him for the language he, according to him, uses towards protesting citizens.
" I can't help but mention Prime Minister Edi Rama. He comes out with his MPs and calls protesters crows, ravens and others. He and his government are a bunch of thieves and dead people, " the protester declared.
