Extreme temperature in June? Meterologia shows what awaits us in summer

The month of June has started with high temperatures. These temperatures are expected to accompany us until the end of this month.

Meteorologist Anila Gjoni from the Institute of Geosciences, Energy, Water and Environment stated this today.

Gjoni emphasized that regardless of the atmospheric fluctuations during this afternoon and Tuesday, the temperatures will be high starting from Wednesday of this week.

"The week started with unstable atmospheric conditions, but starting from Wednesday there will be more stable atmospheric conditions. During this afternoon and on Tuesday, it is expected that we will have light rains in some regions of the country, but the temperatures will remain high for this week and next. Tomorrow in the coastal areas the temperatures will be 26 degrees, 29 degrees in the low areas and 23 degrees Celsius in the mountainous areas. We expect June to be a hotter and drier month compared to May. These past months have been hotter than they should have been for the spring season ," she said.

As for the rainfall in the coastal areas this afternoon, Gjoni said that it is not expected to rain in these areas. Among other things, according to her, this summer is expected to be hot, but not at those levels to be considered the hottest summer we've had in the country.

"We do not expect to have intense rainfall on the coast, in the hilly and mountainous areas it is expected to have local weak rainfall. We expect the summer to be hot, but not at alarming levels to be considered the hottest summer," she said.
