Temperatures above 40 degrees, the doctor shows the effects of heat on health

Cardiologist Indrit Temali said that hot weather has direct effects on health.

The doctor says that heat affects heart problems due to the expansion of blood vessels. He adds that other side effects are tension and thrombosis.

"The blood vessels, trying to lower the heat, expand to exchange as much heat as possible, and this lowers the tension, sometimes leading to fainting. It has also been seen that there is an increase in inflammatory problems within the blood vessels that lead to thrombosis, and it is natural that you become dehydrated and become more thrombotic, so you are more prone to thrombosis," the doctor told "Euronews Albania".

The cardiologist showed that there are several signs that make sunstroke visible. He emphasizes that these symptoms should be taken seriously as they can be fatal.

"You must understand the signs of dehydration such as thirst, but also the signs of sunstroke. The heart beats faster and faster then and the neurological signs like headache are cloudy. These are signs that the body cannot cope with sunstroke, which is sometimes fatal, so the first thing to do is to stay away from the sun and hydrate," he continued.
