The Durrës Court has remanded in prison Teilor Tivar, who stabbed Valbo alias Marko Beqiraj and his accomplice.
The black squads have imposed the security measure "prison arrest" on the 24-year-old and his friend with the initials Xh. D., who helped him leave the scene by taxi, initially taking him to his apartment.
According to sources, Taylor Tivari expressed remorse before the black platoons of the Durrës Court during today's session (September 27).
Crime dynamics
Teilor Tivari is accused of stabbing 51-year-old Valbon alias Marko Beqiraj, who was found murdered in the apartment on the fourth floor of the building in neighborhood no. 12 of the coastal city, about 9 hours after the crime that shocked the country.
The murder reportedly occurred around 10:00 AM on September 24, 2025, but the body of Valbon alias Marko Beqiraj was discovered by his nephew around 7:00 PM.
The suspected perpetrator, 24-year-old Taylor Tivari, according to police, had entered the victim's apartment to buy cocaine.
"During the communication and stay, the 24-year-old is suspected of having, for weak motives, conflicted with the 51-year-old and during the conflict, citizen TT stabbed him in various parts of the body, causing his immediate death."
After raping and stabbing the victim, the suspect fled the scene, assisted by a 27-year-old man with the initials Xh. D., who initially took him to his apartment in a taxi.
"From the entirety of the investigative actions, legal evidence has been obtained that proves the authorship of the suspects in committing this criminal offense. Following the actions, after the pursuit, it became possible to capture the suspects and arrest them in flagrante delicto," the blues emphasized.
The suspected perpetrator and his accomplice, who helped him flee the scene, were arrested by police the day after the incident (September 25).
"After the incident, the suspect left the scene, assisted by citizen Xh. D., 27 years old, who, in a taxi, initially took him to his apartment ," the police informed.
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old in his testimony stated that: "The 51-year-old and I knew each other, we were friends. He called me to his apartment and I went to drink a glass of beer. After the conversation, the 51-year-old tried to rape me. I tried to defend myself, he was stronger than me, I escaped, I took the bread knife and shot him.
"We fought with each other because he wouldn't let me leave. I left the scene in shock, I didn't think he would die."
