The testament that brought the son of the "strong" of Tirana into
Nehat Kulla

In 2020, just a short time after he was released from prison, Tirana's strongman Nehat Kulla died of Covid. Otherwise known as "the general", with his death, the war broke out within the family for the wealth he had invested.

A will left in the name of the wife, who is the second wife, excluding the son from the first marriage, has caused his property to end up in court and the son in prison. His father has also entered the game, who is now demanding that the property be registered in his name.

Nehat Kulla passed away in the middle of June 2020, but as seen from this lawsuit in July of the same year, the inheritance certificate was issued. However, the family members did not agree and requested absolute nullity.

After several hearings have been held, the battle continues since in 2024, his father Faik Kulla filed a lawsuit and requests to be recognized as the sole heir, with all the rights and obligations of the assets owned by his son, disqualifying him the spouse of the deceased as their possessor.

It is about the famous house located on Myslim Keta street, a 2-story building, with an area of 315.8 m2 each floor. In addition to the house, the object of the dispute between Nehat Kulla's family members is also a plot of land with an area of 620 m2 + a building with an area of 100.56 m2, as well as another plot of land with an area of 2883 m2. All on Myslym Keta street.

It was this property that led Robert Kulla, the son of Nehat Kulla, behind bars, who was accused by her stepmother of domestic violence over the property.

The Court of Tirana has ordered the security measure of arrest in prison for Robert Kulla, who in the session held on June 3, 2024, claimed that he did not use violence. According to him, the conflict with his father's wife is a civil conflict, related to the ownership of the apartment, where both claim ownership.

Robert Kulla is looking for him as the legal heir and stepmother as the wife of the deceased. This will ended up in court for violating the legal reserve, a legal clause that ensures that minors or people unable to work are not excluded from inheriting a property.

It applies even if you are excluded from the property by will. After the change of life of Nehat Kulla, the inheritance certificate was issued in the name of the wife, in whose name the will was, but the notary did not fulfill the legal obligation to verify the legal reserve.

Which means whether or not the son excluded by the will had minor children at the time this document was issued, which already seeks to be included as an heir. If this had happened, then the conflict in this family could have been avoided./TCH
