Taking money from students for exams, the rector of the "Luigj Gurakuqi" University in Shkodër is suspended from office

The rector of the 'Luigj Gurakuqi' University in Shkodër has been suspended from office. The decision was given today by the Minister of Education, Evis Kushi.

This decision came after the publication of a video of an investigative show where Suzana Golemi was seen asking students for money to pass the exams.

The denunciation was made by the show Stop, where rector Golemi and pedagogue Donalda Laçej were denounced. Out of 120 students, 110 of them are left in the biochemistry course. According to the complaint, those who have economic opportunities pay a minimum of 150 Euros to take the exam. One of them gave 150 euros to the rector and according to the intercepted conversation between them, she guaranteed him to pass the exam.
