The former American ambassador Yuri Kim has personally congratulated the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, for the title given to you yesterday by DASH. He was among 10 champions of the fight against corruption who were honored at a ceremony by Secretary Antony Blinken.
Also present was Yuri Kim, currently Deputy Assistant Secretary together with Deputy Assistant Secretary Kasanof.
Officials in Washington reaffirmed strong support for Albania's fight against corruption and organized crime.
The US Embassy in Tirana shared photos from the meeting between Kim and Duman.
Deputy Assistant Chief Secretary Kim and Deputy Assistant Secretary Kasanof joined Secretary Blinken in congratulating the head of the Albanian Special Prosecutor's Office Altin Dumani for the Champion Against Corruption award. Officials in Washington reaffirmed their strong support for Albania's fight against corruption and organized crime ," the embassy wrote.
At the ceremony organized the day before, the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, said that "we appreciate 10 important individuals who have waged an extraordinary fight against corruption and we support them. We know that the moment the governors commit corruption, the citizens lose faith in the government. This also creates conditions for criminals and terrorists to be more active. That's why we have given tremendous support to train to give help to these countries that have problems".
