One of the two people wanted for vote buying in the Kukës region has been detained by the police. It is learned that the suspect is Kalosh Peposhi, who was wanted earlier today along with Gëzim Peposhi.
We recall that the Special Structures for the Investigation of Electoral Crimes at the Kukes Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Special Prosecution Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), have conducted searches in the homes of citizens Gazmend and Kalosh Peposhi, who are found to be members of the Social Democratic Party.
The checks were carried out as part of the investigation into the criminal offense of "Active corruption in elections", committed in collaboration, as provided for by articles 328 and 25 of the Criminal Code.
