The authorities of the Republic of Greece have declared investigative journalist Artan Hoxha "non grata".
Hoxha was prevented from entering Greek territory yesterday, while traveling towards Ioannina, at the Kakavija border crossing.
At the border police counter, where passport control is carried out for citizens entering Greek territory, journalist Hoxha was informed that he could not enter the Republic of Greece, as he poses a threat to public order and internal security of this country.
Journalist Hoxha was traveling yesterday towards the city of Ioannina, when he was stopped by Greek police at the Kakavija border crossing. At the police counter, journalist Hoxha's passport was taken and almost 1 hour later, at around 10:30 local time, he was informed of the decision of the Greek authorities, which declares him "non grata" for an indefinite period.
The decision that the Greek police handed to journalist Hoxha states that:
1) has been characterized as an undesirable person.
2) is considered a person dangerous to public order and internal security, to public health or to the international relations of one or more European Union states.
A few years ago, a similar decision was made for journalist Marin Mema.
