The serious incident was discovered on September 18, after blackmailing messages began circulating on social networks about the abuse of the 16-year-old by her police stepfather and his colleague, Artur Ago, an employee of the Përmet Police Station. The two officers are suspected of having sexually abused the minor for about 3 years.
In addition to the policeman's stepfather, two others were also arrested, Kristian Prifti, 46, and his friend Isi Pasho, 27.
The latter blackmailed police officer Ago, demanding 12 thousand euros not to publish a video they claimed was of their intimate relationship on an investigative show.
The two police officers have been suspended from duty, while the minor girl remains under the care of her family with the assistance of psychologists.
