UPDATE/Informative Edition 12:00

We invite you to follow the main news until noon, where we highlight:

1. The number of people affected by the flu is increasing

Doctors: Be careful, it lasts up to 10 days

Flu season is heading towards its peak. Every day, dozens of patients are arriving at the doors of family doctors or infectious disease specialists seeking help after the symptoms of viral conditions have worsened.

White shirts refer to the fact that flu symptoms are numerous, but it has been seen that high temperatures that do not drop are the most pronounced.

Infectious disease doctors say that this year's flu has symptoms such as cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, and muscle pain. The flu can even manifest with diarrhea and vomiting.

Doctors appeal not to underestimate a flu-like condition, as we can have complications ranging from mild to more severe. Certain groups are particularly at risk of developing severe forms, so contact with a doctor should be made from the beginning.

Following your doctor's advice, bed rest, diet, and flu vaccination are the best ways to prevent not only hospitalizations but also flu fatalities.

2. Braçe denounces the scandal

The Lufra is destroying farmers, favored by the government

Socialist MP Erion Braçe has published the denunciation of a farmer from the Myzeqe area who is on the verge of bankruptcy due to the "deceptive" practices of the milk processing company, Lufra.

In a message to Braça, the farmer accuses the company of "destroying" them with strategy. Specifically, after initially significantly reducing the price of milk collection, according to him, the Lufra company has now cited the presence of aflatoxin as an excuse to reject their product.

Erion Braçe describes this as a foretold crisis and emphasizes that the roots of the problem lie in the fiscal and economic policies pursued by the Rama government.

He also states that the Value Added Tax (VAT) scheme and the action against informality, undertaken in July, served as an instrument to favor imports and large factories, to the detriment of small producers and local livestock farmers.

According to Braçe, the aflatoxin justification is a pretext, while large factories will orient themselves towards imported raw materials, which are favored by current fiscal policies and the exchange rate. The MP described policymakers as “public finance wizards”, disconnected from the difficult reality of Albanian farmers and livestock keepers.

4. Former Trump advisor 'sinks' Berisha

"Non grata" not the result of lobbying, but based on facts

John Bolton, President Donald Trump's former National Security Advisor during his first presidential term, has slammed former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, regarding the Biden administration's "non grata" declaration.

Bolton states that the United States' policy of declaring "persona non grata" is not used as a tool for political influence, but is based solely on American national security interests.

On the show "Off the Record," Bolton emphasized that decisions on sanctions and "non grata" declarations are made on factual and geopolitical grounds, and not as a result of lobbying or internal political debates in the affected countries.

According to him, although these decisions may have local political consequences, this is not the reason that motivates the United States.

Speaking about Kosovo-Serbia relations, Bolton explained that the first Trump administration supported the idea that the parties would find a permanent solution themselves, without external imposition.
