The new footage from the moment when the leader of the Freedom Party Ilir Meta was arrested by the agents of the National Bureau of Investigation on the order of SPAK have been published.

In his past, Meta has held the most key positions in the Albanian state, including the duties of Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Speaker of the Assembly and President of the Republic. His arrest marks an important moment in the fight against corruption in Albania.
Meta's relations with SPAK have been tense. He had a public clash with the head of SPAK, Altin Duman, accusing the structure of political manipulations and implementation of orders from the current prime minister, Edi Rama.
Meta has submitted statements to SPAK on several issues, including those related to non-declaration of assets and corruption. In the meantime, Albanian society is waiting for an official confirmation from SPAK about the exact accusations against him.
