The deputy of the Socialist Party, Jurgis Çyrbja, has handed over the mandate of the deputy.
On October 8, the deputy of the Socialist Party appeared at the Special Prosecutor's Office, where he stayed and was interrogated for almost 5 hours in a row by the officers.
After leaving the SPAK building, around 3:00 p.m., Çyrbja did not give a statement to the media, saying only: "I have no comment" and "I have not been arrested", while leaving.
Unofficial sources indicate that the socialist lawmaker was asked about a report by Edi Paloka in the 2021 elections. Paloka accused him of abuse of office, at the time when he was running Hipoteka e Durrës, without yet receiving the lawmaker's mandate.
At that time, the political leader of the Durrës district, Edi Paloka, took the current deputy to the SPAK for "abuse of duty", for signing within the same day two practices for the same property, but in two different names, thus realizing property overlapping .
Jurgis Çyrbja handed over the deputy's mandate yesterday, October 9, to the Assembly.
His place is expected to be taken by Erjon Meka, who received 2228 votes in the last elections.
Çyrbja was ending his second term as a deputy. It was elected for the first time in 2017. In 2021, he was the third most voted of the Durrës district among 6583 votes.
