The Chairman of the Central Elections Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, said that starting from January 11, applications on the platform for immigrants to register as voters in the general elections will begin.
The Chief Commissioner emphasized that immigrants have almost 60 days to complete the registration, since 63 days before the elections, the CEC must publish the final list of voters.
" January 11 is the deadline for us as an institution to have the platform ready for immigrants. From that moment they are able to apply. They have 60 days available, but even those days are not complete because 63 days before the date of the elections, the commissioner must publish the preliminary list of voters.
After this period, after the final list of those who will vote abroad is announced and someone does not find their name on the list, they have the right to appeal to the court up to 7 days before the election day. It is very important for voters that 120 days before the date of the elections they have the opportunity to apply and they have almost 60 days to register" , explained Celibashi.
