Residents and relatives in the village of Graçan in Mallakastra have spoken about the serious event that happened in the USA, where the ex-husband killed the 32-year-old Albanian woman and then escaped with the minor daughter.
Relatives have stated that he wanted to take their daughter and that they had been separated for 2 years.
"Very good girl, one of the best families. We found out through the girl, she has been in America for over 15 years, I don't know the boy, they say he is from Mallakastra, according to the data he wanted to take the girl, they were separated for a year or two, they consider the woman the same like market loot, it is sold and bought as they please, but it is not like that in reality" , said the neighbor.
Renato Muhaj shot and killed his wife Suela Saliaj and then kidnapped their 8-year-old daughter.
American media write that Muhaj hit both of his parents and took their cell phones so they wouldn't call the police.
When they entered the 34-year-old's apartment, the officers found his daughter's mother, Suela Saliaj, dead. But no sign of 8-year-old Alesia Muhaj, who was kidnapped by her father.
The police found the 8-year-old within a few hours and sent her to her family, while Muhaj was arrested and sent to custody.
