During the joint conference in Belgrade with Prime Minister Edi Rama, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that the Open Balkans brought benefits to the citizens.
During his speech, he said that they will discuss the relationship with Kosovo and how to resolve the conflicts between them during the evening.
" For the Open Balkans, we will not have easy, but fruitful discussions. It brought very fruitful benefits to our citizens. We talked about our different views on Kosovo. We will leave our differences as to how the problems will be solved and we will discuss it during the evening. Despite different views, Serbia will continue efforts for good relations with Albania", he said.
Then the Serbian president also focused on the situation in Kosovo. "I know the extension plan by heart... it's the withdrawal of the mayors, but as far as Serbia is concerned, it has implemented them from its side. We want peace and we work for it every day. I know that in Tirana they see Serbia as bad. The situation is difficult here. What remains for us is to do everything for peace.
I had no problem meeting Albin Kurti. I have not seen Edi Rama's proposal for the association of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo.
The Franco-German plan refers to the association of Serbian municipalities. We only ask that the principles be put into practice and that's all. The issue is that the association of municipalities should be created ", he said.
