Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu spoke about the November 9 by-elections in Tirana.
He stated that the merger of new parties with the DP to select the candidate who will run for the Municipality of Tirana, destroyed the possibility of creating a third political pole.
Spahiu emphasized that in Tirana there has never been a competition between the SP and the DP, as the SP has won.
"The first success of the opposition leader was not allowing the creation of a third pole because it would harm the DP. In Tirana, for 35 years, the competition between the Democratic Party and the Socialist Party has not been discussed. Arlindi enters as a separate party. But here, new leaders do not find a common language with each other and then join the old leaders. This is a success for the Democratic Party. Overall, the Freedom Party, even when it was LSI, cooperated with the Democratic Party in local elections, even when the Democratic Party was in power, it had coalitions in local elections, I say that the PL has more influence than the new parties," Spahiu said for "Report TV".
