The electoral process in the capital has faced technical problems at the polling station at the "Martyrs of Freedom" school, where citizens were unable to vote due to a defect in the biometric voter identification device (PEI).
According to reports from the scene, the device has been experiencing problems since the opening of the process at 07:00 in the morning, making it impossible to electronically identify voters.
Members of the voting center commission have confirmed to the media that the responsible structures of the Central Election Commission have been notified and are awaiting a technical solution from the support teams.
The commission members in this VC also said that if the device is not fixed within 3 hours, then identification will be done manually.
Meanwhile, citizens gathered near this center have expressed concern and irritation over the delays and lack of transparency.
