
The head of the National Civil Protection Agency, Haki Çako, through a direct communication from the village of Velabisht in Berat, has commented on the situation of the fires in the country.
Çako said that the situation was extremely difficult in that area, but thanks to the work and commitment of all the structures, the flames were brought under control.
He stated that the mayors in general have not organized the structures and have immediately requested the help of the National Agency of Civil Protection.

We are in the village of Velabisht in Berat, together with the police director, and the fire has been brought under control after the intensive work of the pilots and the Cougar helicopter that has not stopped working.
There was an increased risk in the village of Starovë with the relevant forces that were also prepared for the evacuation of the residents, but fortunately there was no need due to the extinguishing of the flames.
