They were rescued at sea, the trafficking scheme of 11 immigrants is revealed:

The Vlora Border Police have revealed new details about the attempted trafficking of 11 foreign immigrants, who were rescued a day earlier near the island of Sazani, after the dinghy they were traveling on towards Italy risked sinking.

At the end of the investigation, the citizen Masud Emir (ME), 43 years old, from Afghanistan, was arrested, who, according to the Police, is suspected of organizing the entire operation and was on the raft together with the migrants. He is charged with the criminal offense of "Aid for illegal border crossing".

Meanwhile, the 10 rescued migrants, citizens of Bangladesh, Pakistan, Liberia and Haiti, have been criminally prosecuted for "Illegal crossing of the state border".

According to investigations, the scheme had started in Greece, where the 43-year-old is suspected of organizing the illegal crossing of immigrants into Albanian territory through the green border.

After arriving in Albania, he allegedly collaborated with an as-yet unidentified Albanian citizen, who sent him the coordinates of a dinghy abandoned in the Seman area of Fier. The organizer took the vessel, boarded the migrants, and headed for the Italian coast.

The journey ended near the island of Sazan, where the dinghy was put in danger and was located by the Border Police and the Delta Force, who intervened to rescue the people on board.

Under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, investigations continue to identify the Albanian citizen who allegedly provided the dinghy, as well as to uncover other individuals who may have been part of this migrant trafficking network, which allegedly used Albania as a transit point towards European Union countries.
