A large-scale fire has invaded the "Deutsch Color" paint factory on the Tirana-Durrës highway, in Maminas, this evening.
The factory is owned by businessman Luan Muça.
The "Deutsch Color" factory has been described as the largest in the Balkans in terms of the production of chemical products for the construction industry. Muça started as a local company, and today his companies export to many countries around the world, billing over 70 million euros per year.
Meanwhile, the authorities were able to bring under control the fire that engulfed a paint factory on the Durrës-Tirana highway, in Maminas, on Saturday evening.
The news is announced by the Durrës police in a second announcement to the media.
"Police and fire services immediately went to the scene and intensively continued the work to extinguish the flames. Numerous police services of DVP Durrës and groups of FNSH Tirana evacuated the citizens who were in the bar near the factory to an object. At the time the fire broke out, there were no employees inside the factory, but only the guards who were outside the factory. No one was injured by the spread of the flames. For security reasons, the Police temporarily blocked the Durrës-Tirana highway and traffic was diverted to secondary roads. Currently, the fire is about to be extinguished," the police say.
The causes of this fire are still unknown. The police say that an investigative group has been set up to clarify them.
15 fire engines, 65 fire brigades, 200 police forces and volunteers were used to extinguish the large flames.
