The prefect of Durrës, Emiljan Jani, said that the fire at the 'Deutsch Color' factory is massive, while adding that the gas depots located near the factory are at risk.
"The whole factory is burning, 10 firefighters are working. The gas depots located near the Deutsch Color factory are at risk," he said.
So far, 15 fire engines and 67 fire brigades, 200 police forces and volunteers have been engaged. According to the sources, the flames have been contained so that they do not spread to the nearby apartments.
The Ministry of the Interior has appealed to citizens to avoid the Tirana-Durres axis, until the flames are extinguished. The causes of the fire are still unknown, so the police and fire brigade are at the scene. According to sources, the factory belongs to the company "Deutsch Color".
