The chess player Eduard Shalësi has been caught "checkmate" in several financial movements, which according to BKH, it turns out that since 2004 when he was appointed Director of the Cabinet and Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Tirana and until 2022, his declared assets have increased by 7 times.
From ALL 97 million, although with a salary of 1,000 Euros and a salary of 700 Euros for a woman with private activity "Physical person", his wealth reached 680 million ALL; but according to BKH, there are traces of concealment of 1.8 million Euro assets in Fier and Tirana to the woman's people and in Durrës, Korçë, Vlorë, etc.
How did Eduard Shalsi, the proposer of the commission for the government takeover of SPAK's activities and the Special Court, secure these declared and undeclared assets?

On September 1, 2020, when Eduard Shalësi was the Minister of Entrepreneurship, the Albanian government, in cooperation with partner organizations of the Italian and Croatian governments, launched the "REEHUB PLUS" project, with the objective of promoting independent energy efficiency in businesses and constructions.
This project, worth 718 thousand 200 Euros, was negotiated and promoted by the Minister of Entrepreneurship, Eduard Shalsi, while for implementation it passed to the Ministry of Infrastructure-Energy, as the line minister with the participation of the Energy Regulatory Authority.
To direct and manage the project in cooperation with businesses, Minister Belinda Balluku appointed Eranda Shalsi, the wife of the Minister of Entrepreneurship, Eduard Shalesi; which was and is in private activity "Physical Person with Nipt: L61810028K, with only herself as an employee.
But in the accompanying report, which the Albanian government presented to the partners of the governments of Italy and Croatia, for the project management staff, the wife of Eduard Shalsi is declared as the General Director of Energy Efficiency in the Ministry of Energy-Infrastructure.
In the report drawn up by the project manager, Eranda Shalsi on behalf of the ministry, it is said that the project was successfully completed within the deadline of February 22, 2022, accompanied by a financial report, as if the 718,200 Euro fund was spent in consultation with businessmen and citizens.
But according to the Ministry of Finance, in May 2022, Eduard Shalsi's wife asked the Ministry of Energy and received an additional fund equal to 25% of the project fund, equal to 213 thousand Euros, which in total became 930 thousand Euros, for allegedly expanding the project in some sectors and cities.
It is not known what effect that energy awareness project had, but it is known that during and after its alleged implementation, Eduard Shalsi added an apartment, renovated the villa where he lives and bought a new car, while his wife added several bank accounts from 15 million ALL to 35 million ALL.
