The trial started yesterday in the Tirana Court for the mastermind of the robbery of properties in Bërxulle, Ymer Marku, former mayor of Bërxulle Municipality, a position he used to alienate public and private properties with false documents, setting up businesses with suspicious money on them. .

The Tirana court has today considered the prosecution file for Ymer Marku, who is accused of the criminal offense of abuse of office. If found guilty, Ymer Marku risks up to 7 years in prison.

Ymer Marku is accused of alienating 7500m2 of land, which was then sold to the grandson of Sadri Abazi, Arbër Abazi.

It all started in 1998, when the land was the property of the Vora Municipality. But according to a plan coordinated by the elder of the village Agim Loci and the head of the commune Ymer Marku, the land has gone to Kujtim Allmeta. In 2005, Ymer Marku sent for verification to the Tirana District Council, the documentation for several persons, identified only by initials: AA, PA and Sh.A. In the capacity of the mayor of Bërxulle Municipality, together with the village headman, Agim Locin, Marku has signed the revaluation plan of these assets.

In 2015, Kujtim Balliu, the specialist of the Land Management and Protection Office, confirmed the transfer of the land to Allmeta, all with the knowledge of Ymer Mark. Yes, according to the Prosecutor's Office, Kujtim Balliu, who from July 2011 to September 2015, was in charge of the Land Protection and Management Office near Bëxulle Municipality, compiled the documents for land registration and sent them to the Land Management Agency. I own the original unnumbered deed in Allmeta's name.

Second money laundering case

The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has launched another investigation into Ymet Marku for money laundering. The prosecution has discovered until this stage of the investigation the concealment of an apartment property worth over 100 thousand euros in Tirana. This property is used and owned by Ymer Marku, but it is registered in the name of another person, in order to avoid the criminal liability of the former official of the municipality of Bëxulle.

Mark has also hidden another apartment in the name of a close person, but which he uses himself. Ymer Marku had the legal obligation to declare his wealth as mayor, but also as a DP candidate in the Vorë municipality for the local elections.

He has not made the declaration of these two apartments, and as a result it is expected that the prosecutor's office of Tirana, during these days, will address a request to the court for the sequestration of these two apartments.

File in SPAK

While the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has taken him as a defendant for property robbery, SPAK has registered another criminal complaint against Ymer Mark. For several months, SPAK has launched an investigation against the former senior official, Ymer Marku, for the charge of "Forgery of documents" and "Abuse of duty".

The report was submitted to SPAK by Arben Tafa, who previously served as a plumber in the former municipality of Bëxulle. During the time when the municipality of Bërxulle was run by Ymer Marku, Arben Taga was employed by the latter as a plumber of this municipality.

But during this time, it turned out that the name of the plumber Arben Tafa was used as a disguise for the alienation of some properties located in different areas of Bëxulla. In the name of Arben Tafa, a land area of 4,000 square meters has been registered with forged documents.

The documents show that this area, located in the village of Brukë, is owned by the citizen Arben Tafa, who has strong doubts that he is not the real owner of this real estate./ Pamphlet
